DataUtil is a free online utility platform built around a simple idea: everyday tasks like merging a PDF, resizing an image, or formatting some JSON shouldn't require installing software, creating an account, or paying a subscription.
What we offer
DataUtil brings together dozens of tools across four categories — PDF, Images, Text, and Developer utilities — in one consistent, ad-light interface. Every tool is designed to do one job well, with no sign-up wall and no artificial limits on how many times you can use it.
Privacy-first by design
Most tools on DataUtil process your files directly in your browser — nothing is uploaded to a server, and your content never leaves your device. A small number of PDF operations (like password protection and removal) use a secure backend API to perform the encryption, and those files are processed transiently and not stored afterward.
Free, and staying free
Every tool on this site is free to use, with no account required. We intend to keep it that way. If we ever introduce optional paid features, the core tools you rely on today will remain free.
